BLUEBERRY VARIETIES
Duke: Most widely planted early ripening variety. Heavy, consistent producer with attractive, firm, light blue high quality large fruit. Duke blooms late but ripens early.
Nelson: Large excellent tasting mid-late season berry. A cross between Bluecrop and Berkley varieties.
Elliott: #1 for late season varieties. Excellent as ornamental. Large sky blue fruit with great flavor.
Spartan: Spartan is a very attractive, easy to pick highly flavored berry. Excellent farm stand variety. Requires light well-drained soil high in organic matter.
Reka: A variety from New Zealand Reka is more tolerant of heavy wet soils than most blueberry varieties. Early heavy producer of high quality flavorful fruit.
Blueray: An old favorite mid-season variety. Performs well in areas with hot summers and very cold winters. High quality berries with outstanding flavor.
Toro: Mid-season variety that produces an abundance of high quality easy to pick fruit. Makes an outstanding ornamental planting, foliage turns bright red in the fall.
